Many of us love a good smoothie, both as a meal replacement and a snack. Generally, however, they are not recommended for those seeking to follow Paleolithic nutrition.

But for those looking to balance the Caveman Diet and the love of an icy fruit beverage, there is hope. The Paleo Diet Smoothies Recipe Book helps blend modern living and ancient diets with a result that should work for most people.

Most find that the biggest way this book helps is at breakfast. That’s billed as the most important meal of the day, but it’s also the one where most of the options seemed to be filled with sugar, grains, and heavily processed items (and often all three).

Unless you wake up early enough to prepare something hearty, or are disciplined enough to forgo the convenient and tasty but completely unhealthy alternatives there, you’re likely to succumb to the dreaded 600-calorie muffin that temporarily soothes your hunger pangs but is a calorie bomb that explodes your healthy eating plan.

This book is your breakfast survival guide. It gets your day off to a promising start with a healthy blend of fruits and vegetables that will increase your metabolism early and help your body burn fat and build muscle, while avoiding those hunger pangs that are fatal to so many diet efforts.

Those are the benefits on a daily level – there are also the long-term health benefits of the Stone Age eating plan to consider. We have a ton of information on the Caveman diet here as reference, but the basic appeal is that returning to the traditional foods can lead to positive effects such as the increased ability to maintain a healthy weight, lower risk of diseases like high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, certain auto-immune diseases, and even acne prevention.

No less an authority than the Harvard School of Public Health advocates nine servings of fruits and vegetables per day … but it you plan on following the Caveman Diet, they have to be the right ones. This e-book helps make that possible, and keeps you from unintentionally backsliding despite all your best intentions.

Smoothies are generally not a recommended part of the caveman diet, because it’s so easy to make mistakes. But if these are an important part of your diet now, the Paleo Diet Smoothies Recipe Book allows you to continue your current eating habits in a more Stone Age way – except that you’re allowed to use a blender, which is a lot more than your ancestors had to work with. They’d recognize the ingredients, but envy your ability to make a smoothie by flipping a switch instead of smashing the ingredients with rocks.
