Everyone has seen those caveman advertisements on TV, where the mythical refuges from the dawn of humanity take offense at the “It’s so easy a caveman could do it!” tagline. Those cavemen are Hollywood actors, obviously. If they weren’t, you’d know because they’d be far more offended at the flabbiness of the actors playing them.

There’s an old adage that you never see a fat caveman. Cavemen were in shape — they had to be, in order to survive. If you’re looking to get the kind of body that could chase down a saber-toothed tiger and tackle a mammoth, check out this book by Vince Delmonte, which is designed to help folks build the muscles they’ve only seen on TV until now.
First, the big caveat. This isn’t a book specifically geared towards those seeking to live a caveman lifestyle, though it benefits that quest. That means that the diet he suggests is going to need to be modified if you’re a fan of eating like a caveman.
That’s perfectly do-able, and there are plenty of resources here and elsewhere that can help you come up with a meal plan, but it’s something that the author does not adhere to in his own life.
Also, it’s not like you download the book and instantly see your body transformed. To have the body like a caveman, you have to put in the effort. This book may have the recipe for physical health, but it’s up to each individual to do the work necessary to make it happen.
That having been said, if you’re willing to put forth the effort, this book will hold your hand every step of the way.
I’m sure many of you have fitness books that don’t make it clear what you’re supposed to be doing on some of the prescribed exercises. Not only is that frustrating, it’s also dangerous.
Doing an exercise without the proper form won’t get you the results you want and could lead to injury. But the author here won’t let that happen. The instructions are extremely clear, with a visual aid to illustrate what the correct form looks like.
As someone who has approximately one million fitness tools in his basement, from weights to machines to a stack of books as high as a bodybuilder’s pectoral muscles, I have experienced more than my fair share of fitness dedication that quickly turns into frustration when it’s not as easy as I expected.
The author definitely challenges his readers, but the key is the results. They come quickly enough that I was able to stick with the program, and there is a clear difference between how I look now and where I was when I began.
This is an e-book, which means you’ll be able to access the contents instantly after its purchased (you don’t get a physical copy in the mail, so print off any sections you want to look at offscreen).
Especially if you’re someone who has had difficulty putting on muscle mass in the past, this book is well worth it for helping you to become the physical specimen you always imagined you could be.
